So sad to hear about the philosophy course! As you know, I adore philosophy, and I think professors who are unable to teach such an interesting topic should write instead of being forced to do somehting they most likely hate.
You'll be better off reading philosophy than attending a useless and timewasting nightmare that will put you off philosphy for ever. Now that would be sad!!
He actually is writing, and is also responsible for a few books. But as you said, he should be doing only that. There's still hope for me taking Philosophy though, I think I'm going to stick to FIL 103 "Logic, Language- and Science Philosophy". HUIN 206, as interesting as it may seem, just simply will demand too much attendance. I'm slowly learning to think ahead and take precautions. I will follow the lectures still, without the pressure, as I believe it could be quite stimulating.
